The Homecell is the basic building block of the Church, so much so that the Homecell is the Church and the Church is the Homecell. Homecells meet on a weekly basis from house to house, and gather together at the Sunday Celebration Services
Cell + Celebration = Church
Just like in the human body where the cell is the smallest structure capable of maintaining life and reproducing, so life in the Church is found in its Homecells. Each Homecell is made up of 3 or more persons with a maximum of 15 who gather in homes on a weekly basis to enjoy the true Christian community. CRC has thousands of Homecells across the world, in different cities and neighbourhoods where small groups of people meet every week, planted within CRC to share, discover and support each other. Here we grow and thrive with other believers to discover our potential and purpose through fellowship and by sharing the word received from Pastor At on Sundays. By joining a Homecell you will not only receive support and form strong relationships, but you will be equipped and cared for by the church and leadership.
If you are not connected in a Homecell, please contact us or speak to one of the pastors after one of our Sunday services.
Get Involved
CRC is a big community and we believe that every person should be planted in God’s House and be active members in His Church. Every person has been blessed with gifts and talents which God has given them and we want you to connect with us in any of our various ministries where you can make a difference. Your involvement can make a life changing contribution to many people and we want you to get involved.
The last command Jesus gave to His disciples was to go into the whole world and to make disciples of people out of every nation on this earth.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:19, 20).
To be a disciple of Jesus means that you need to become a disciplined follower of Jesus. Jesus said that becoming a disciple starts with you being baptised, and then to be taught everything that He commanded. To become a disciplined follower of Jesus implies that you will hear His Word and adapt your life to His Word in a disciplined manner.
We want to support you in this process. We have many discipleship events in our church that will guide you to spiritual maturity.
Here’s are just a few of these events:
Sunday Celebrations
The most powerful discipleship training you’ll ever encounter is our Sunday Celebration Services. The messages I share are truly inspired by God and will challenge you to align your life with the principles of God’s Word. You’ll also experience the presence of God in our meetings. No change in your life will ever be more lasting than the change you’ll experience when God touches your life in our Celebration Meetings.
JIM Track
JIM is an acronym for: Journey of an Incoming Member. This discipleship training has been designed to help you understand your own spiritual life better. It comprises out of the following modules:
John 3:16
This module will train and empower you to be more effective in reaching out to your family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues with the purpose of leading them to Christ.
Discover Your Spiritual Gifts
This module enables you to clearly understand the spiritual gifts God has given you. The aim is to empower you to use these gifts in the church and in the community.
DISC Personality Profiles
God has given each of us an unique personality. Through this module you will discover your dominant personality profile. This module will also give you some understanding of how to deal with different personality types.
CRC Bible Training Centre
The CRC Bible Training Centre is a discipleship programme where participants attend weekly training sessions. This will give you an in depth understanding of core Biblical truths.
Become An Active Partner
“… but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and knit together BY WHAT EVERY JOINT SUPPLIES, ACCORDING TO THE EFFECTIVE WORKING BY WHICH EVERY PART DOES ITS SHARE, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:15, 16).
According to the Bible, every member of the local church has a dynamic contribution to make towards ensuring the growth and health of the church. We encourage every member to participate and to do their share. The church is all about partnership and not about spectatorship. You can do your share by:
Stewarding Your Gifts And Talents.
God has graced you with specific gifts and talents. Use your gifts and talents not only to serve in the local church but also to expand the Kingdom of God: “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10).
Stewarding Your Resources.
God said that a tithe (10%) of our income must be brought to the “storehouse” – the church where you are cared for. These finances must be used to build, establish and expand His Kingdom:
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts; “and all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:10-12).
Understanding That The Whole Tithe Belongs To God And It Is Holy.
“And all the tithe of the land, [whether] of the seed of the land [or] of the fruit of the tree, [is] the LORD’S. It [is] holy to the LORD.” (Leviticus 27:30).
Acknowledge That The Bible Is Clear That We Must Honour God With Our Possessions.
“Honour the LORD with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9, 10).
Accept That We All Have A Responsibility To Ensure That The Needs In The Local Church Are Met.
“Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.” (Acts 4:34, 35).
Realising That God Loves A Cheerful Giver.
“… for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Acknowledging That Your Giving Will Impact The Quality Of Your Life.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38).
“But a generous man devises generous things, and by generosity he shall stand.” (Isaiah 32:8).
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7).
Reaching Out To Your Family Members, Friends, Neighbours And Colleagues.
The Bible says that as God’s children we have a responsibility to share the good news of Jesus with those people with whom we are in a relationship.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
